Vaccinations

Flu

Flu vaccination is safe and effective. It’s offered every year through the NHS to help protect people at risk of getting seriously ill from flu.

The NHS website provides information about who can get it, how to book and where to get the vaccine.

Travel vaccinations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel, please complete a Travel risk assessment. This will need to be completed at least 6 to 8 weeks before travel.

An appointment may be required with the practice nurse for you to have the vaccines at least 2 weeks before you travel, to allow the vaccines to work.

If travel vaccines are not required a member of the practice team will contact you to let you know.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

COVID-19

COVID-19 vaccination is safe and effective. It gives you the best protection against COVID-19.

The NHS website provides information about the vaccination, who can get it, and safety and side effects.
